Lechuza won the Caribbean Open as well

After about 100 days of excellent polo, the second edition of the Polo Challenge, in the Dominican Republic, has come to an end. On Friday during the afternoon, on Casa de Campo’s field 2, the final of the Caribbean Open took place, pitting the undefeated Lechuza Caracas against Cinque Terre. Previously, during the morning, the Subsidiary Finals took place, a battle between Casa de Campo and HPA. The much awaited final match took place in a very special setting: Casa de Campo was crowded and joyful, as there was not only polo on the agenda but also a spectacular “Concours d’elegance” a show of antique cars with many exceptional vehicles to admire. Lechuza Caracas also won the Gold Cup

– The definitions stage of the Copa de Oro, the third trophy of the Polo Challenge RD 2017, kicked off yesterday with a match between Cinque Terre and HB Polo. The latter, that had a great campaign during the tournament, seems to have lost confidence after their first defeat against Lechuza Caracas last Saturday. Cinque Terre played at its best form, counting with Cubi Toccalino as a coach, and took over the lead from the first chukka onwards. By the end of the second period, they had widened the difference by three goals, 6-3. This continued throughout the match, and by half time, they were 7-4 on the lead. Lechuza Caracas conquers the Silver Cup

The team from the Venezuelan patron Victor Vargas did it once again, winning its sixth consecutive title on the Dominican Republic since the Polo Challenge started in 2016. The final stage of the Copa de Plata began on Thursday, with two simultaneous games: Sebucan HPA vs. La Potranca took on each other at Los Establos. After a great campaign on the Copa de Bronce, the team of the Mannix brothers unfortunately didn’t do so well in this tournament, but finally managed to obtain a triumph against La Potranca 12-11. 29-goal Charity Polo Match in Casa de Campo

On this past Saturday, February 11th, two teams met in Casa de Campo to play a charity game in aid of Fundación MIR and Hogar del Niño, two local entities that contribute to the development of children in the Dominican Republic. The first team, Lechuza Caracas, was formed by patron Victor Vargas, Canada’s best player Fred Mannix, and the two La Dolfina record breakers, Juan Martín Nero and David Stirling Jr. On the other side of the pitch, team Casa de Campo, with Julian Mannix, 8-goaler Pancho Bensadon, and the Toccalino brothers who have been stealing the show on many of the Polo Challenge matches; awaited. It was a friendly match where the players wowed the audience with their remarkable skills on the saddle. A true example of chivalry and sportsmanship, the game finished on a tie, 6-6....

Lechuza Caracas won the first cup of the high goal season in Dominican Republic

Today the finals of the Bronze Cup, the first tournament of the Polo Challenge 2017 took place in Casa de Campo. Lechuza Caracas, the defending champion, encountered a great opponent in Alegría-El Milagro, but after a tough fight, managed to keep the Cup by second consecutive year. Before the big game, the day started with a match belonging to the 12-goal category, between La Potranca and Costasur. This was the second win for La Potranca and actually the third defeat for their opponents, and the game ended in 10-7. Later on, in Casa de Campo, the most awaited moment arrived: the finals between Lechuza Caracas and Alegría-El Milagro. Teams and fixture set for the Dominican High Goal season

The 2017 edition of Polo Challenge, which kicks off on January 12 in the Dominican Republic, was officially presented at Palermo. The series will be played at Lechuza Caracas RD and Casa de Campo. Lechuza also took the opportunity to present its plans for the next four international seasons. Lechuza claim the Caribbean Gold Cup

The final of the Polo Challenge Gold Cup was played at Casa de Campo, in the Dominican Republic, on Saturday, March 20. The Gold Cup is the third of four tournaments that make up the Polo Challenge series. Lechuza, the team composed of Victor and Alfredo Vargas, and ten-goal La Dolfina superstars Juan Martin Nero and David Stirling, have maintained an incredible unbeaten record throughout the season, despite coming up against some great opponents. And now the team has claimed the Gold Cup title, after their previous Bronze and Silver Cup wins.
