Tortugas Open

La Dolfina took the first step

La Dolfina took the first step

La Dolfina played an excellent match and beat Ellerstina by 12-5 to stay for the fifth time in a row with the 77th Tortugas Open. It was an exhibition of La Dolfina, although la Zeta started looking for all means to open the marker without being able to get it. At that moment, the Cañuelas team, underpinned by Uruguayan David Stirling, a fighter in all sectors of the field, managed to open the scoring with a goal from Pablo Mac Donough, who would be decisive in the triumph of his team.

With a great set play, the formation led by Adolfo Cambiaso made Ellerstina convert only 5 goals in 7 chukkers, something never seen in the classic between the two best sets in the world. Ellerstina never found a game and depended purely and exclusively on what Facundo Pieres could do, who scored all 5 goals for his team, only two of them play. New title for the set of Cañuelas, which now and as in recent years, stands as the only postulant to the Triple Crown 2017.
